There’s no better way to say sayonara to Summer, than with a road trip up the coast of California.
Traveling up the central coast I knew I had to take a few pitstops, the first being Santa Barbara. I stopped in the cute little town of Pismo Beach to grab a bite to eat and watch the sunset. San Luis Obispo, located just 10 minutes north, was the next destination and is definitely one of my favorites (which is also said to be one of America's happiest cities). This ultimately made feel good about spending the night there, since I would be spending it in my car. Yet another night spent in the back of my warm and cozy 4 door sedan, I was ready for whatever adventures lied ahead.
While visiting the quaint city of SLO, I always make sure to hit up Kreuzberg Coffee Company, a quirky coffee spot that roasts their own beans located in the heart of SLO. Kreuzberg offers a spacious, eccentric and laid back environment, perfect for a little photo editing sesh whilst sipping on a cup o’ joe.
Next and final stop was Santa Cruz to photograph my friends and musicians, Jamestown Revival at the Catalyst, a cool venue known for booking rad up and coming bands. Jamestown Revival had been traveling for the past month doing a west coast tour and Santa Cruz was their last stop. I was stoked to be part of their final gig which is a true, electric music show - a little bit country & a lotta bit rock and roll - my fav.
Quite a sweet end to a kick-ass road trip and yet another wild & crazy summer.
